The Garden 2012

We've had some really lovely weather recently and it's been very hot.  I've managed to do a bit in the garden, now and again, but don't have enough time to spend very long out there.

Here's a few pictures that I have taken today:

The lavender is doing well and also the cuttings that we took and planted around the garden

And this year, we have a good crop of parsnips as well as the usual abundance of courgettes!

Bramble just has to be in the photos!

We've also had an amazing crop of strawberries, gooseberries and raspberries

The grape vines are also doing well

And of course, in the poly tunnel, loads of tomatoes, peppers, melons, aubergines and basil.  Unfortunately, this year we have no chillies!

We also have an artichoke ready to pick

The garden is also looking quite good now.  We've recently bought a small pergola, so intend having a nice seat under it and intend having some nice climbing plants over it.

Anna having a snooze with Dill keeping an eye out!

Oh, I've been spotted with the camera!

Anna - my poor girl isn't very well at the moment. Unfortunately, we had to call the vet out last weekend and as I suspected she is suffering with laminitis.  So on a strict regime and only allowed in the small paddock!

Even Dill is on a strict diet!

They both had a bath yesterday, Anna loves it, but Dill isn't too keen.  Wonder how long they will stay clean!

  1. Your garden is looking fantastic. My chilli plants look amazing but not a single flower on them. The artichokes all dies after the snow disappeared. Have a great week. Diane
