Last night we decided to try out my Birthday present and as we had picked our first bowl of strawberries, there was only one thing for it, a chocolate fondue to dip the strawberries in....heaven!
CHOCOLATE FONDUE
75gm dark chocolate
50 gm milk chocolate
250ml cream - I used creme fluid - this is a rough estimate, as I didn't measure!
1 tblsp of cognac, cointreau, grand marnier, rum, whiskey or kirsh
Various fruits to dip: strawberries, bananas, pineapple, melon, apple, orange, pear, peach or grapes
Marshmallows
Butter
Put the cream into a saucepan and cook over the cook and before it comes to the boil, add the chocolate broken up into pieces and stir until it melts into the cream. Add the alcohol and keep stirring until you have a smooth mixture, if you wish you can add a small piece of butter. Make sure that the chocolate sauce does not boil.
Pour into your fondue set and serve!
