In March 2009 we decided we would like to have a polytunnel. We already had a very small, very basic greenhouse at the property when we bought it, but obviously this wouldn't be big enough for what we had planned! Having looked at the prices of polytunnels both online and at the various shops here in Brittany, 'himself' decided to try and build and design one for half of the price that we had seen. Having worked in lots of greenhouses in his 'past life' , he decided to copy the design of the polytunnels that he worked in in Portugal, although on a much larger scale. So having designed and prepared the plans, bought the wood and ordered the special plastic 'online', he set to and built it!
With the frame up, it was now time to start digging the trenches around the edge, for the plastic.
And now it's time to get the plastic on!
